Club members are active in the community, supporting activities that support our mission of advancing the status of women. During the 2024-2026 Biennium, projects are supported by the International Service Program Fund

  • Climate empowerment -preventing climate induced gender based violence and other harmful practices in Madagasar,Mozambique and South Sudan
  • Ending child marriage -protecting the rights of millions of girls and putting an end to global violation of human rights in 12 countries in Africa and Asia
  • LAAHA- providing virtual safe space for girls and women by providing information about women’s health, rights and gender based violence

District 16 Project : Foster Hope New Zealand NZ has been selected as the Zonta District Project for 2024-2026 Biennium. Zonta District 16 is proud to support Foster Hope for the biennial project, with the provision of two comprehensive educational resource reference books for pre-teen or teenage years girls supplied within their backpacks. These books cover everything including friends, body changes, feelings, body image, bullies, being online and how to be happy with your own true self. Both books are written by Kaz Cooke and are age specific with one book aimed at girls between the age of 8 – 12 years and the second aimed at girls 13+ years of age.
