On Saturday 23 August, the Zonta Women’s Group in Hakatere hosted a Wāhine Pamper Day for 13 of our whaiora at the Rosebank Community Rooms.
The day was all about aroha, kindness and giving our wāhine the chance to relax and feel special.
Professional hairstylists, make-up artists, nail technicians and massage therapists were on hand, offering their skills and time to make the day one to remember.
Things kicked off with a Body Balance session to warm up our bodies and minds, followed by a tasty morning tea. From there the pampering began – with each wahine rotating through the different treatments on offer.
A delicious lunch was shared together, and with plenty of leftovers to take home, whānau got to enjoy the spoils too.
The afternoon wrapped up with reflection time, goodie bags, and a chance to slow down before heading home. Julie and Gina from our Haketere office attended to support our whaiora and the Zonta team, and it was clear from the smiles, laughter, and connection in the room that this event was something special.
